Mark Miner
Mark Miner has been playing guitar for 20 years, six and a half of which teaching full time for Encore Music Center. Mark’s music studies include private lessons with instructors such as Chord Camp and Finger Fitness author Tommy Armstrong-Leavitt and institutions including Musionia School of Music, (owned by the late Randy Rhoads’ mother Delores Rhoads) and Sierra College. He is the guitarist for Kivel Records recording artist VLS. A sample of his playing may be heard at www.myspace.com/vlsvamplestat.

Styles taught: Rock, Pop, and Metal. Methods and studies taught: Technique, improvisation, modal connections, chords and progressions, scales, arpeggios as well as learning songs. Mark’s personality is easy going and makes lessons fun as well as educational for his students. Stressing originality, dedication and discipline to the guitar he treats each student with patience and understanding. Students range from ages 10 and up. Beginner to advanced.
